Even a trip to the grocery store is an adventure.
About 5 minutes into our trip to the grocery store today, I noticed that one of Rob's (brand new) shoes was missing. We doubled back and retraced our steps, but had no luck in finding it. So, we made our way to the customer service desk, and asked if anyone had turned in a shoe. They lady said no, but hang on. Then, she proceeded to make an announcement: "attention shoppers, we have a little boy here at the customer service desk who has lost a shoe. Could everyone please look around you and see if you can find it." As if I wasn't already embarrassed enough, the lady behind us soon pointed out that it was way at the front of the shelf on the bottom of our cart. Oops. Oddly enough, the cashier said they get tons of kid's shoes turned in, that no one ever claims. I guess those people hadn't just forked out $30 for a pair of Stride Rites two days before, cause their husbands forgot the shoes their kid was supposed to wear in his pictures, and couldn't get his pictures taken in his old, scuffed shoes that didn't match his outfit (see post from Monday). No, I will never let Gregg forget that one.
