Ok, now I know I'm old.

If anyone watched American Idol tonight, you would have seen that there was a video of the song "I'm a believer", where various celebrities lip synced to the song. I must be way out of the loop, because I only recognized about half of them. And...the ones I recognized included Dr. Phil and the bald guy from the Fantastic Four (Ok, so I really remember him from The Commish, but let's not go there). It really pained me to know that I am becoming the generation that's kind of out of touch with pop culture. Oh yeah, and I have to also admit that I have referred to David Archulette (American Idol contestant for those who really have no clue what's going on in pop culture) as a "nice looking young man". Sigh.
Ok, so an update on the kids since I've been slacking on the blogging. Jaina is getting big, and really developing a personality. She is pretty mellow until she's hungry, and loves playing with her toys. I used to think baby toys were pointless, since Rob never, ever played with toys as a baby, but she will actually spend 20 minutes playing with her rattle or her stuffed bunny. She thinks that her big brother is the greatest thing on earth, and giggles hysterically when he does anything. It is pretty cute, because she doesn't even smile when she does it, but she sure giggles. No idea where that comes from. We've started some really food (if mushed avacados and squash count as real food), and she loves it.
Rob is.....3! He's funny, he's frustrating, he's adorable and he's a little stinker. He pretty much never stops talking, and I hear all about everything we pass on the way to and from daycare every day. "Mommy, that you're doctor, Mommy, that my doctor, Dr. Rocco. Mommy, there's some birds. They say honk honk. They say tweet tweet. Oh, look at that truck Mommy. Mommy, go faster. Red light means stop. Green light means go. Go mommy, go. Oh, that's my school? Where's your school Mommy? Jaina's at Sylvia's? What her doing there Mommy? You come pick me up from school? That's your coffee Mommy? I think about this point he might actually take a breath. He's doing really well at day care, and his teachers tell me that he is very smart. Duh. Like there was any doubt.
Mom and Dad are doing well, keeping very busy. We are starting a business (more on that a little later), working, oh and there was that kidney stone that Mom had last weekend, that was fun. Sometimes we actually even have time to see each other for 5 or 10 minutes and actually talk to each other without cell phones involved.
So, that's the update, and now you can see why the blog gets neglected. Hope everyone reading this is doing well. Even if I have talked to you on the phone, chances are I only heard about half of what you said due to screaming, talking, whining and crying in the background (and that's only from Gregg). :)
