You'll have to excuse my lack of posting over the past couple of weeks, my lovely children have decided that the best way to take over the world is to make Mom as sleep deprived as humanly possible. Between nightime feedings and a certain little boy climbing into our bed in the middle of the night, there isn't much sleep happening here. Last week was my first glimpse of what life with 2 kids is like when Gregg is away, and although there were a few moments where my sanity was hanging on by a thread (keep your comments to yourself here Mom), we all survived. Rob is a great little helper, and the only time he really has shown any jealousy is when I am putting him to bed and Jaina is there with us. He really isn't into sharing me during his bedtime routine, which made for some pretty frustrating evenings. Otherwise, he is super helpful, getting me things and putting Jaina's binky in her mouth if she is crying. Of course he always has to announce as loudly as possible "Jaina's crying!!!", over and over, as if we couldn't hear her. I guess he's just looking out for his baby sister.

Hap Birthday to Robbie......
Or at least, that's how Robbie sings the song. He was so excited, after several friend's birthday parties over the past couple of months, that it finally time for us to sing to him. Although it was a small birthday party, it's quite amazing how much noise 7 little kids can make. Everyone seemed to have a good time though, and Robbie is loving all of his new toys. Daddy is also loving the new toys, as Rob is finally able to play with things like Legos and Hot Wheels that Dad can get into. Rob continues to have a great time with Grandma and Grandpa here, and has come up with all kinds of games to play with them. His favorite is dragging Grandma into the closet while Grandpa hides, and then running around the house to find him, as Grandpa says "tweet tweet" to give him clues as to where he is. Yeah, not quite sure how that one started, but he gets pretty excited about it. He also likes playing trains with Grandpa and going for bike rides to look for worms and birds and spiders, etc. He has classified birds into 2 varieties, the "tweet tweet" kind and the "honk honk" kind. Apparently these insects, etc are everywhere because he has taken to telling us that he has "bees in his ears" or "worms in his mouth". My favorite is when he had "spiders in his bum".
Jaina is doing well, we were at the doctor earlier this week, and she is up to 6 lbs, 8oz and 19 1/4 inches. Robbie is a fantastic big brother, and gives her lots of hugs and kisses.
