Comments
My mom said she tried to leave a comment, and she was asked for a username and password, so I thought I would post how to leave a comment (I know you all are reading this, but it would be nice to hear back from you). When you click on "comment" under any posting, type what you want in the box, and then below it you choose from "blogger", "other" or "Anonymous". If you check the Other or Anonymous circle, you don't need to give a username or password. However, if you click anonymous I won't know who you are, so please choose "other", and give your name (you don't have to put anything in the website box). Oh, and I don't want to hear about my spelling/grammar errors (Mom, this means you).
Miserable Little Bug
Robbie's been battling the flu for the past few days, and it hasn't been one bit of fun. We thought it was getting better yesterday, until he woke up around 10 with a temp of almost 102. Finally, after lots of cuddles from Mom, and several doses of Tylenol, I think he is getting better for real this time. What a weekend for Daddy to by flying.

I wanna be just like my Daddy
Yes, Gregg bought Robbie a Darth Vader costume. He also bought him a Yoda costume, but you will have to wait to see pictures of that one. When will the Star Wars madness end??? He's probably going to be the only baby who has a choice of Halloween costumes already hanging in his closet. Maybe I'll just take him to the grocery store some day in his Yoda costume, and see what people say.... hmmmm, "crazy, she is, young jedi knight".

Sleeping like a baby....
Whoever invented the phrase "sleeping like a baby" obviously doesn't have kids. Poor little bug has a bit of a cold, and is getting new teeth. HELP!!! Our normally happy, easy child has turned into Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde. Cute as a button by day, cranky, impossible to please, no sleep for you mom, by night. To make matters worse, I tried for almost 2 hours last night, rocking, singing, rubbing his back, putting him in a swing, walking around, you name it, I did it. When I finally fell into bed in exhaustion, and told daddy to deal with it until morning, he goes in, rubs Rob's back for 10 seconds, and the little rascal was out like a light.

Teeth
We had a good weekend with Great Grandma Bywater and cousin Mariah, except that Robbie was a little cranky. He decided that even though he has been sleeping wonderfully for about a week, since we had company, it was time to wake up every 2-3 hours. Found out why on Sat morning, a big old tooth poking through the top gums. He wouldn't sleep a wink at the babysitter's today, so hopefully he will sleep well tonight. (Just as I wrote that, he started making noises in his sleep, yikes). He seemed pretty happy this evening, especially when he peed all over me just before I gave him a bath. Boys!!!!

Playdate
Robbie and I had a playdate this afternoon, with Amanda and her daughter Maren, who we met last week at a playgroup that Amanda started. It was a lot of fun, except when Robbie pulled Maren's hair, she didn't like that too much. Other than that, they got along fabulously. He was very tired by the end of it, as he missed his late afternoon nap, but hopefully he will sleep well tonight. (He slept through the night last night, from 7pm to 6am. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Robbie, I am your father
As my husband is otherwise engaged (Star Wars Revenge of the Sith comes out at midnight for those non Star Wars freaks, I mean fans), I am attempting to clean up a little, because Gregg's grandma and cousin Mariah are coming for the weekend. Considering my love of Trading Spaces and all things on the Home and Garden Network, I just shake my head when I look at my dining room for which I agonized over paint colors, and the right curtains, which now houses a pack n play, a highchair, a bouncy seat, and several bibs and burp cloths strategically placed, so that one is always within arm's reach. Fortunately, with the right accessory (Robbie of course), the room looks perfect. Not so perfect: those carrots he spit on the floor.......gotta go mop now.
