It's hard to believe that the summer is practically over, it feels like it just began. We have managed to pack a whole bunch into this short time though, including a visit to our friends' house (Wendy, Jason and their kids Hailey and Tyler) in Indiana, a visit with Gregg's cousin Josh and his new wife Tiara in Danville, IL, where we also saw Uncle Rob and Aunt Kim, Uncle Dennis and Aunt Teresa and Great Grandma, a visit from Grandma and Grandpa to help us move into our new home, and a few trips to the beach and the zoo (which have become his favorite places). We've had a chance to see some friends that we haven't seen in a while, which has been a lot of fun. We have also been able to meet some of our new neighbors, which is great because there are plenty of kids for Rob to play with, and more moving in all the time. We have a few weeks left of vacation, and we plan on taking advantage to it with more trips to the zoo and the beach, and playing with friends. Since it's been over 90 degrees here this week, we're also planning a trip to a waterpark tomorrow and probably lots of time in Rob's pool in the backyard. Hope you are all having a great summer.

The funny things kids say.....

Mom (detecting an odor): Robbie, did you poop?
Robbie: No.....Mom!

Robbie: There, there.
Mom: You want to go that way?
Robbie: Yes.
Mom: Where do you want to go?
Robbie: McDonalds.

Mom (calling Dad who is upstairs): Gregg!!
Robbie (also calling Dad at the top of his lungs): Greggggg!!!! GREGGGGG!!!!!

A Day Out With Thomas

Last week we travelled up to Green Bay to the National Railroad Museum, where Thomas the Train was making an appearance. Rob looked a little confused when I told him we were going to go for a ride on Thomas, I don't think he quite got it, until we got there. There were model trains, real trains, old trains and train movies. In other words, it was right up Rob's alley. He actually liked the model train museum the best and after looking at each display for 2 seconds, would say "more trains, more trains". Although the day got a little long, we had a lot of fun.

Look, it's Thomas!!!

Chaos.....

Is pretty much how you could describe the Bywater household about now, but it's a good kind of chaos. I am finally starting to get over the "all day sickness" of the first trimester, and am starting to feel somewhat human again. The beginning of warm spring weather this past weekend definitely helped, and Rob is absolutely loving being able to be outside. He cries hysterically when it's time to come inside. This weekend we went to the park a couple of times, visited with our friend Nancy and her son Finny where we played in the sand and water table (from which Rob was for some reason compelled to drink the gross, sandy water), and Rob "rode" his tricycle. He actually can't reach the pedals yet, but he pushed it along with his feet quite well.

We have also been making weekly trips to our new house, that now has windows and doors. It's really starting to look like an actual house, and we are so excited that it will be done in a few short weeks. Rob will enjoy that there are two sets of stairs for him to run up and down, as his favorite thing is going upstairs when we are downstairs and downstairs when we are upstairs. It's when he's in the opposite part of the house and very very quiet when we start to worry. Especially since he has learned to open the fridge and help himself to whatever he can reach. He has come upstairs with some interesting things such as a container of carrots, a carton of chicken broth and cans of soda. We've resorted to putting a lock on the fridge, but I swear it won't take long for him to figure out how to get around that too.

We have been checking out new daycares for Rob for the fall, since our current sitter is too far away from the new house. We are so sad that we won't be seeing Jean every day, Rob absolutely loves her and has never had any problem with me leaving him there. In fact, he's usually closing the door behind me as he pushes me out. We have gone to 2 centers so far, and in both places, Rob has immediately joined in with the other kids and played with the toys. He has also been blowing kisses to everyone in sight, and greeting everyone that walks by. Something tells me he isn't going to have any trouble with the transition. You could say he's a social little guy.

Well, that's my update for now, enjoy the pictures.
