What a day!!! We woke up early on the 4th to get ready for the parade. The Racine Family Club was walking in the parade, and we had decorated our wagons and strollers the night before. We had to wait around for quite a while before the parade actually started, but once we started walking, it was a lot of fun. It was a 2 mile walk (mostly ok, but I didn't realize that Racine had so many hills, that made pulling a wagon with Rob and his friend Ethan kind of difficult). There were so many people there watching the parade, it was a little overwhelming. Rob waved a little bit, but mostly just looked around a lot. Racine apparently has the biggest 4th of July parade in the Midwest. Last night we decided to be brave and go to the fireworks display. We went to a gold course far enough away from the actual fireworks so that it wasn't loud, but we still had a great view. Rob seemed to like them, but he was pretty tired, so we only stayed for a little while. It was a very long day, but lots of fun.

California
We had a wonderful time in California. We flew into L.A., and stayed with Aunt Denise and Uncle Ed for a few days. We went to the Long Beach Aquarium, which Robbie absolutely loved. I think part of it was the fact that there were a million other kids there on school field trips that day. We also took a boat ride out to see the Queen Mary, and took a walking tour of the ship. Of course, when the guy at the door said we could take the stroller on the walking tour, he neglected to mention the many stairs on the tour. We cut that one a little short. The next day we stayed home, did some shopping, and swam. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm. We also went to Knottsberry Farm, but didn't stay there too long. It was really hot and there weren't many things for little bugs like Rob to do there. On Saturday we spent a nice day with Nana, while the rest of the family went to the Six Flags theme park. Glad we didn't go, because it was 112 degrees that day. We then drove up to Paso Robles, where we got to see some of the family, and also went to visit Auntie Stephanie's new baby horse. By the time we drove back to L.A., and then flew home, we were all pretty exhausted. Gotta love California time though, with the two hour time difference, Rob has been sleeping past 7am every morning since we got back. One morning he actually slept until 10am. Now that's what vacation is all about. Since we've been back, we've been keeping busy getting together with friends, and playing outside a lot. So far, a pretty great start to our summer.
